Our Mixed Ages Family Classes provide a weekly, highly experiential 45 minutes of fun-filled singing, small and large movement, instrument jams, and American Sign Language signs!

Ten weeks of musical fun for families with children from birth to 5 years of age.

Music Together^® is a mixed-ages class open to the whole family. Highlights include:

• One in-person 45 minute class per week for 10 weeks
• Digital access code for the current Music Together song collection
• Family Songbook and (optional) CD for the current Music Together song collection

Cost: $185 for one child and their caregiver(s); $49 for each additional sibling over 12 months of age. Siblings under 12 months may attend free with registered older sibling.

A special class just for infants and babies up to nine months of age (or not yet fully crawling/walking independently) and their caregivers and limited to just 8 families per session. These smaller classes allow teachers and families to explore the song collection in a different way.  The soothing and exciting musical experiences will feature their favorite voice in the world - yours!  Engage with your inner musician and learn how to include music in your daily routines to enhance bonding time and set the stage for your baby's development. Plenty of discussion time allows parents to share knowledge and make new friends as we help you build your community of parent peers. Led by four-time mom Teacher Heather, this class is just as much fun for parents as it is comforting and joyful for baby.

8-class class semester: $150 for the first enrolled student age 0-9 months at the start of class and their caregiver(s)
Includes digital access to the music collection through the Music Together App, family songbook, and parent education guide.

Our Rhythm Kids^® classes are just the thing to get your child to (willingly) put down the iPad and start
making music with their friends. Designed specifically for pre-K and early elementary students, these active
classes tap into how children this age are wired to learn, with music games, animal rhythm stories, and lots
of stomping-flying-climbing fun. At Music Together by the Bay, you can sign up your big kid for Rhythm Kids^® Level 1 (age 4 up to 6). 

In each weekly class, your child will drum, sing, move, and play to rhythms inspired by musical traditions
around the world, from West African Gahu, to Japanese Taiko, to Brazilian Samba, to name a few. As they
learn to think and create like a musician, they’ll also gain valuable skills they’ll take to the elementary school
classroom (and beyond!): confidence, focus, leadership, cognitive flexibility, and more. By the end of the
semester, your child will be eager to show off what they’ve learned!

Fall session tuition: $170 for the first student in the family. Siblings in the class age range are $80. Tuition includes 8 weekly in-person classes, songbook and code to access to digital music, instructional videos, and handouts. A parent or trusted grown-up must attend the first two classes to help settle new students into the classroom setting. After parents and kids are comfortable with the class routines, parents may decide to leave during class, though they always welcome to attend.

Our teachers will be happy to discuss the specifics of Babies or Rhythm Kids^® with you after class.

Special events might include sing-alongs, concerts, parent education events, open houses, etc.

In Music Together Generations classes, teachers and families foster meaningful musical relationships across the ages, as “Musical Grandfriends” join the music-making circle. Expanding the class community in this way enriches the experience for families and makes these classes some of the most satisfying to teach.

Our Generations class is held at Amy's Place / Dementia Support Northwest inside Bellis Fair Mall, and includes grandfriends and volunteers who are participating in programs at the dementia-friendly community center. Classes function very much like a typical Mixed-Age Family class, with an expanded family circle. Grandfriends attending from Amy's Place may change from class to class, and of course registered families are encouraged to bring along their own grandfriends to add to our intergenerational mix.
